Position Overview

Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Canada is responsible for driving growth, performance, and direct sales across their designated region, reporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP), who oversees national sales. In addition to leading and supporting Territory Managers (TMs) to achieve regional and divisional targets, the RSM will also manage assigned accounts and engage in direct selling activities. Key responsibilities include implementing, managing, and enhancing systems and programs for Shaw Floors brands as set by the Global Division and aligned with Residential priorities

Responsibilities:

- Lead, train, and manage a professional sales team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Assist the RVP with recruiting, developing, and retaining top-quality sales talent.
- Foster teamwork across the sales team and the division, ensuring alignment and shared goals.
- Provide guidance and support to Territory Managers in addressing operational challenges, with a clear understanding of Shaw Industries' internal and external procedures.
- Analyze sales data to set goals for both the sales team and the company. Consistently set direction, measure results, and drive performance.
- Collaborate with the RVP to review sales budgets, adjust account assignments, and achieve team sales targets.
- Manage assigned accounts directly, performing direct selling activities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Identify selling opportunities for the sales team and assist the team in capitalizing on them.
- Allocate time to travel with each salesperson, providing coaching, mentorship, and feedback.
- Conduct or assist with sales presentations to dealers and end users.
- Entertain clients as needed through business lunches or dinners.

Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant sales experience
- Demonstrated propensity to lead
- Demonstrated ability to coach and support
- Ability to build trusting relationships across diverse teams
- Relevant flooring knowledge in the region; established dealer relationships preferred
- Must be able to travel within the assigned region
- Operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Be able to travel by airplane nationally and internationally.
- Lift and carry product samples weighing up to 30 pounds.
