As the Financial Analyst, you will focus predominantly on supporting the operational business as a business partner under the umbrella of the FP&A Director. The FP&A function is a critical role for the business. In addition to the duties such as budgeting, forecasting, and providing support to management via financial analysis, this role is a direct contributor to the business operating team and provide visibility on the actuals but moreover on the future and the risks and opportunities in the business.

Some of what you’ll do:

- Participating in the elaboration of the planning, forecasting, and analysis function of Moose Knuckles financial, including variance analysis vs. prior forecasts and understanding of drivers of YTD vs YTG performance, across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash
- Preparing annual budgets in line with longer‐term strategic plan models and presentations, incorporating goal attainment and performance metrics.
- Identifying and monitoring areas of opportunities and risks in Moose Knuckles performance across both P&L and Cash, with supporting analysis, alongside budget owners
- Ongoing development of important metrics and dashboarding of results for the executive team
- Variance analysis and bridge reporting of actuals vs. forecast, vs. budget, and vs. previous year financial results-driving takeaways for future forecasts and identifying areas for yield improvement and cost minimization
- Crafting and maintaining effective relationships with business partners and cross‐functional teams at all levels of the organization
- Working with the Commercial and Sales teams on the profitability for the different channels (DTC, Ecommerce and Wholesale)
- An ability to work with multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Driving ad hoc analysis to support data‐driven decision making across the organization.

Some of what you’ll need:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a finance analyst
- Business oriented person
- Experience in clothing industry (retail/wholesale) an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
- Comfortable with technology (accounting systems)
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills

Moose Knuckles is a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal and operating in North America, Europe and Asia. Professional French language proficiency is therefore required and essential for all Montreal-based employees. In addition, the professional English proficiency is also important since it allows to collaborate with the employees of the group based internationally.
