Vancouver, Canada Liberte Cafe and Restaurant Full time

Liberte Cafe and Restaurant is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Barista to become a valuable member of our team. As a Barista/All rounder at Liberte, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service. This position requires a minimum of 2 year of experience as a Barista, with knowledge of Latte Arts being a preferred skill (at least a heart preferred). Prefer with Serving it Right Certificate.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee and espresso beverages in accordance with customer preferences and company standards.
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and quality of all beverages served.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, equipment, and dining area.
- Provide excellent customer service, welcoming and engaging with customers, and attending to their needs promptly and courteously.
- Assist with other duties as needed, such as taking orders, serving food, and handling cash transactions.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 year of experience as a Barista in a fast-paced coffee shop or restaurant environment.
- Proficiency in Latte Arts is preferred, showcasing the ability to create visually appealing designs.
- Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing techniques, and coffee equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a 35-40 hour per week schedule, mostly on weekends.
- Proximity to Joyce Skytrain Station, as the café is conveniently located within walking distance.
- Secure underground staff parking is available for employees.

Compensation:

- Hourly wage starting at $17.45 - $19.00, depending on experience.
- Tips ranging from $5-7 per hour.
- Group benefits package is available.
