ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton requires experienced Payroll Coordinator.

**Position Summary**

The Payroll Coordinator will provide general support to the Payroll Supervisor, the HR Team where needed, and overall support for the organization. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for helping in multiple financial activities relating to the company's bi-weekly payroll and monthly paid commission functions. This includes timely and accurate reporting of payroll data for the company employees, reconciliations, labour cost moves and preparing payroll reports.

Integrity and strong attention to detail are crucial for this role.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the preparation and administration of bi-weekly payroll for company employees, while auditing payroll processing reports for accuracy.
- Ensure that all salaries are paid accurately and in a timely fashion to all company employees, contractors, and other parties.
- Ensure all information is obtained to be able to pay commissions accurately and on time.
- Reconcile journal entries for accounting, prepare back up documentation forms, such as records of employment, termination, pay increases and bonuses.
- Implement salary increases, bonuses, and so on in accordance with instructions given.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Help in the reconciliation of jobs to ensure accurate billing, which includes inquiries, Daily Report reconciliations and labour cost moves.
- Track and monitor hourly employees’ holiday and attendance records for business units.
- Review all employee and temp hours entered by the time supervisors.
- Process benefits plans including enrolments, changes, and terminations in payroll system.
- Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Recommend new policies and procedures to effect company improvements and organizational efficiencies.
- Assist with processing of terminations.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Previous payroll experience, 2+ years preferred.
- Experience in the service industry preferred.
- Politically and culturally sensitive.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills.
- Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Ability to use general office equipment.
- Professional appearance and manners.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
