**Overview**

Spatial Research + Design is looking for an intermediate to senior Project Manager/Studio Manager based in Vancouver, to help support our growing team.

**Duties and responsibilities**

The role will encompass the oversight of multiple projects (not necessarily in the weeds of every project), studio business process, and resource management across a wide range of initiatives of varying sizes

Production/Project management activities will include:

- Working with sales/business development to take signed statements of work and establish draft project plans and finalize this based on actual start dates, in conjunction with clients and team members
- Managing project budget and expenses
- Developing and/or improving project and studio processes
- Leading and/or participating in client kickoff meetings
- Creating a project plan/project charter for each project, that establishes agreed deliverables, milestones and ways of working/progress reporting
- Managing any risks and issues with team members and stakeholders
- Escalating any significant issues as required with stakeholders and Spatial senior consultants and/or directors
- Facilitating change management requests and impact assessments in the event of timeline slippages and/or changes to scope
- External/stakeholder project reporting per project as specified in the project charter
- Internal reporting - project updates/status and profitability

Production management and reporting including budget management, utilization, expenses, recruiting and incentives management, etc.
- Managing studio software needs and licensing
- Managing project billing
- Managing project wrap-up activities as required, including customer satisfaction survey, requesting testimonials/case studies and data hygiene with respect to ensuring adherence to privacy policies
- Resource management activities will include:

- Managing Spatial’s resource planning and scheduling across projects ensuring it’s accurate and up-to-date
- Creating statements of work for subcontractors based on project estimates
- Tracking timesheets in Harvest and reconciling budgets with actuals
- Ensure team members have any support required to deliver against the project plan
- Conducting regular check-ins with team members to ensure projects are tracking to timelines and milestones
- Ensuring team compliance with completion of time sheets

**Qualifications / Skills**
- Project management/studio management skills and/or demonstrated experience and understanding of project management principles and best practices in a digital studio environment
- A minimum of 5 years project management and/or studio management experience, ideally managing projects with front-end user interface and/or research deliverables
- You possess an understanding of user-centred design processes and UX design principles
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Experienced and confident working with enterprise level customers at varying levels within the organization
- Intermediate to advanced skill with Excel or Sheets, and knowledge of reporting and admin tools such as AirTable, Harvest, Sharepoint
- Flexible and adaptable to fast paced and iterative design environment
- Skilled a problem solving and tactfully resolving issues in projects

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
