**Current Opportunity: Onsite EAP Counselor.**
Location**: Waterloo, ON**
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: ONSITE
Shifts**: Overnight/weekend**
Salary**: 66,000 CAD a year**
**What you will do**:
Workplace Options is seeking an On-Site EAP clinical counselor. This role will provide direct services on a wide scale including psychosocial assessments, clinical case management, work-life referrals and short term counseling; collecting sufficient data to make appropriate referrals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provides an integrated EAP service consisting of intake and assessment, support, triage, referral, clinical case management and crisis management.
- Delivers counseling services in a responsive, efficient, ethical and professional manner. Maintaining client confidentiality as expected by ethical standards.
- Refers clients to appropriate resources and thoroughly maintains clinical documentation in computerized system for follow-up regarding clinical and work-life services.
- Assessments completed with clients expressing various issues e.g. substance abuse, mental health, and family concerns that may be impacting work performance.
- Performs initial assessment/intake, crisis intervention, information and referral, and counseling services to clients. Completes timely follow-up calls to clients where necessary.
- Conducts Critical incident support
- Provides support to managers as needed
- Facilitates psychosocial groups
- Facilitates trainings
- Implements strategic activities for the organization
- Undertakes additional tasks as identified by the clinical management team.
**Qualifications/Skills**:
To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field.
- At least three years directly related experience providing counseling or mental health services.
- Trauma experience preferred
- Licensure or clinical certification preferred
