Accounts Payable Specialist

Source Office Furniture is seeking an **Accounts Payable Specialist**at our **Burnaby, BC** location. This is a **full-time in-office**, permanent position.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Own the entire Accounts Payable process from start to finish
- Process invoices in a timely manner - review transaction, verify approval, perform GL coding and record into financial system
- Perform PO 3-way matching to ensure proper receiving and documentation support for purchases
- Manage payment schedules, perform payment runs and mange stakeholders’ expectations
- Maintain a strong working relationship with vendors and being the point of contact to resolve any invoice and payment issues
- Reconcile vendors account statement against accounts payable sub-ledger to ensure accuracy in payable position
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and operations to resolve issues and ensure smooth processing of payable transactions
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable
- Reconcile accounts payable and related liabilities general ledger accounts to ensure integrity in financial reporting
- Maintain and organize accounts payable records, files, and documentation
- Monitor accounts payable process, provide recommendations for improvements where appropriate, and maintain the related SOPs for documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Over 4 years of current experience managing full-cycle accounts payable. Experience in Canada is preferred
- English must be of native or fluent speaking
- Strong Excel skills with experience working in an ERP environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey both verbally and in written form
- Reliable and able to work in a deadline driven environment
- Proactive, organized and able to juggle diverse challenges and priorities
- With keen interest in problem solving and always provide recommendations
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute
- Able to work independently and also as a team
