**What is Required for the Position**
- Must have Post Secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years experience as a Buyer/Purchaser. Experience in the Infrastructure/Construction industry is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have proven team building & leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask various initiatives.

**The Job**

As the Buyer/Purchaser you will manage the procurement of goods and services required for our projects in collaboration with the various stakeholders within the organization. You will ensure that the necessary materials and supplies are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. You find the ‘Yes’ in the ‘No’. You are a committed results-oriented team player, who can take direction and lead when required, mindful of your commitment as a team player.

**The Tasks**
- Purchase materials, assets, and services in accordance using cost-effective and sustainable approaches to deliver meaningful solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify innovative products, new suppliers, and negotiate various supplier programs.
- Evaluate vendor performance (KPI’s) and ensure compliance with contract standards and delivery schedules.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues or disputes that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and develop budgets for materials, assets, and services to delivery quality projects.
- Review and analyze proposals to make recommendations on best value procurement decisions.
- Foresee potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contractors, and supplier information.
- Monitor ongoing inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to ensure uninterrupted project operations.
- Forecast and schedule future materials/services needs of projects with conjunction with project managers.
