You have a passion for analysis, and you are looking for a home within the equine and pet industry in order to combine your professional skills with your personal passions. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

As a Junior Buyer you will be responsible for purchasing activities such as:

- Study the product assortment within the category, become an expert in product knowledge, seek new products to increase profitability and sales
- Maintain system data related to products and purchase orders (PO dates, pricing, rebates, sku setup, retail pricing etc.)
- Track inbound shipments within category
- Support Category Buyer with any vendor issue resolution (discrepancies, exceptions, etc)
- Track and manage inbound samples within category to support Category Buyer and Graphics
- Manage and report on category inventory levels within all channels

Pre-requisites
- Post Secondary degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
- 3-5 years industry experience
- Equine experience is mandatory, pet experience is an asset
- Excellent Excel, PC and analytical abilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- A demonstrated ability to self motivate
- Ability to travel within US and Europe if needed

This position is a hybrid position and will require weekly attendance to Mississauga Head Office for regular sample review.
