We’re looking for a dedicated and positive individual who’s ready to take on a role as our new Sales Associate. **Furniture Sales Associate** The best salespeople have a genuine love of needs based selling, and providing terrific customer service. Your customers can sense that passion in every interaction, and instinctively trust that you have only their best interests in mind. You’re someone who listens well, can assess your customer’s needs, knows how to ask the right questions, and then uses your thorough product knowledge to make great recommendations and suggestions. You’re comfortable talking to a wide variety of people every day, and are confident at building relationships and communicating in a friendly and upbeat manner. You’re also a motivated self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently, helping your store reach its sales goals. **Practically speaking, you will**: - Greet and engage every customer, discovering their needs and wants, assisting them in making the "Perfect Purchase". - Use your sales experience to develop and maintain long term customer relationships. - Present features and benefits for a variety of furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other consumer goods, answering questions and overcoming objections. - Suggest additional items or services that the customer may need to compliment their purchase, increasing the overall transaction value. - Follow up with customers after the sales process, ensuring satisfaction and providing solutions for warranty and service issues. - Achieve individual and departmental sales targets. - Take pride in the appearance of the store, assisting the team with merchandising and maintaining the sales floor. - Maintain great communication with coworkers and clients alike. - Use our POS software, enter sales, and process transactions - Perform other duties as assigned which may include entering orders, scheduling deliveries and creating signs. - Bring a highly positive and friendly atmosphere to the sales floor every single day, helping our customers feel warm and welcome This is a part time, permanent role, 2 to 4 days per week including Saturday’s. We offer an attractive hourly wage commensurate with experience, as well as employee discounts on everything we carry. **Qualifications** - A proven track record in a sales role with a minimum of 1 year experience preferred. - Experience selling furniture, mattresses, appliances, or other large consumer goods preferred. - Proven experience meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets - Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) - Experience with POS software and entering your own sales - Committed to ongoing development of sales skills and product knowledge - Be confident working in a busy environment, and handling multiple customers at the same time. - Flexibility to work weekdays and Saturdays. **Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Shift: - Day shift **Experience**: - sales: 1 year (preferred) - Customer service: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
