The People & Culture Associate is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the People & Culture department which includes providing support with recruitment activities, onboarding administration, database management (HRIS), responding to employee questions, and the coordination of training, policies and programs. The People & Culture Associate liaises with the Payroll & Benefits Officer specifically and employees at all levels within the organization.

**About The Role**

Under the guidance of the Director, People and Culture, and mentorship from the People and Culture Strategist, the Associate delivers People and Culture practices and objectives that emphasizes impact, excellence, integrity, collaboration, courage, and dedication. The People and Culture Associate is responsible for the following duties:

- Leads the administration of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS - BambooHR) for the employee’s life cycle, including self-service, employee changes, salary increases, status changes, transfers, promotions, new hires, and offboarding.
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the HRIS; audits and creates reports as required.
- Assists with policy interpretation and the analysis of current people practices, ensuring equitable and inclusive methods.
- A resource for employees and managers for People &Culture related process and program questions.
- Assists with recruitment, law/summer student placements, and leads new hire orientation.
- Takes part in growth opportunities by participating in People and Culture projects such as the engagement survey and performance program administration.

Typically, we find that people who succeed in this role bring:

- A degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 1 year of Human Resources Administration experience which includes working with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence when working with others; demonstrates integrity, honesty, and ability to build rapport.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to edit, proof-read, prioritize activities and ensure that documents and databases are accurate.
