We are seeking a Community Support Worker who shares our passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
**Hours**: Saturday, 11:30am-5:30pm, Sunday, 9:30am-3:30pm, some flexibility in shifts
**Rate of Pay**:To be discussed during the pre-screen
**Benefits**:Mileage Paid
**Location**: South Edmonton, Alberta
**Job Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Providing direct support to Individuals in the residential and community settings
- Assisting in completion of personal care and hygiene routines as necessary
- Facilitating community access, participation and inclusion for individuals
- Providing comprehensive behavioural support
- Administering medication
- Completing household duties (_laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc._)
- Completing documentation and reports in a timely manner
- Completing all mandatory trainings (_Abuse Prevention & Response, Best Practices, FOIP, Medication Assistance, Mandt, Universal Precautions, Food Safety, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher, Diabetes Training_)
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- A high school diploma
- Post-Secondary certificate, diploma or degree in a related field
- 6 months+ related experience is an asset
- Police Information Check & Vulnerable Sector Check from within the last 6 months
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
- Minimum 1 year with a Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to do occasional physical lifting
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $18.80 per hour
Schedule:
- Weekends only
**Experience**:
- related: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Canadian Driver's License (preferred)
