**Fund Development Manager**

**Reports**: Database Administrator, Volunteer Coordinator and Community Engagement
**Position Summary**:
The Fund Development Manager is a multi-faceted role responsible for developing and implementing an annual giving and stewardship strategy to generate financial support to advance the mission of the agency. This role will provide oversight to two positions - the Database Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator/Community Engagement.
This role will report to Terra’s Director of Fund Development and will support the implementation of Terra’s overall fund development strategy.
**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and implement Terra’s annual fundraising strategy to support Terra in securing annual gifts from the community through annual appeals, fundraising events, and monthly giving.
- Play a lead role in the planning and execution of fundraising, community, and stewardship events (i.e., annual fundraising lunch, donor appreciation events, and donor tours)
- Develop and implement stewardship strategy for annual and gift-in-kind donors
- Collaborate with Director of Fund Development on major giving strategy and ensure leadership donors are considered in annual fundraising plan.
- Collaborate with Communications to develop donor-centred fundraising materials including but not limited to donor impact reports, thank you letters and proposals
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to Resource Development team consisting of Volunteer Coordinator/Community Engagement and Database Administrator
- Provide monthly reports related to progress of fund-raising goals
**Knowledge and Abilities**
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Demonstrated commitment to building and maintaining long-term relationships with donors
- A commitment to working collaboratively in a team environment with staff, volunteers, families, donors, and the general public
- Must possess a high level of professionalism, tact and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Must be committed to quality work, and have a self-directed work ethic and demonstrate initiative when given additional assignments
- Exceptional planning skills: ability to identify strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create, and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Minimum of 5 years experience in fundraising, business development or marketing is considered an asset
- Demonstrated excellence in building authentic supportive relationships
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, expertise with advanced functions in Excel and Raiser’s Edge
**Additional Requirements**
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check that are dated within 90 Days of the start date
