**THE OPPORTUNITY**
No Stone Left Alone is looking for a lively, dynamic, and passionate individual to join our team as Fund Development Manager. The Fund Development Manager is a relationship builder, responsible for connecting donors, sponsors, and funders to honouring our military service and history past and present by inspiring and stewarding all avenues of giving. The Fund Development Manager will diversify revenue streams of giving to NSLA while integrating fundraising concepts with staff, volunteers and current stakeholders.
The Fund Development Manager is an integral member of a small team. Reporting directly to the President, this position provides planning and execution of all aspects of the organization’s Fund Development initiatives including annual campaigns, sponsorship, events, and grants. The Fund Development Manager also oversees the fund development **content** for marketing and communications including social media, campaign materials, newsletters, annual reports, and website.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Activate and manage the Fund Development and Stewardship plans for the organization.
- Communicate NSLA’s objectives with all stakeholders through a strong understanding of the immediate priority funding and budgetary needs.
- Contribute to the development of NSLA annual budget, including establishment of financial targets and development of annual revenue.
- Develop and execute local fundraising campaign(s) in tandem with NSLA’s Remembrance season throughout October and November.
- Storytelling: Discover, curate and share stories that reflect the impact of giving
- Design & lead execution of inspirational fundraising and donor appreciation events throughout calendar year.
- Bring innovation and expansion to the NSLA Sponsorship Opportunities making it relevant and exciting for corporate donors; manage ROI fulfillment.
- Prepare cases/appeals for support, presentations, and other materials that support donor outreach and stewardship.
- Assign and manage fund development initiatives concerning the board of directors and other volunteers.
- Help support the implementation of the communications strategy to raise awareness and expand donor base.
- Contribute content for social media efforts and website updates to ensure alignment with fund development strategy and initiatives.
- Ensure the privacy and accuracy of all confidential donor information.
- Process tax receipts
- Report on the success of initiatives on a quarterly basis and make recommendations with the goal of continuous improvement.
- Project work as required.
**The Individual**
**Education**
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in non-profit management, communications, business administration or equivalent job experience.
- Certified Fundraising Professional Executive certification (or working towards certification) is preferred.
**Competencies And Knowledge**
- At least 2-3 years’ experience with non-profit operations and fundraising, including annual and major giving, sponsorships, grants, and events.
- Knowledge, respect of military, veterans, and the act of remembrance
- Able to demonstrate strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to translate plans into action.
- Excellent writing abilities, both casual and structured to draft compelling and persuasive correspondence to donors and prospects, formal written structure for grants and sponsorship requests.
- Proficient working with donor databases, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

**Compensation**
Annual Salary of $60,000 plus expense account.
