Calgary, Canada Great Plains Recreation Facility Full time

**Compensation**:$21.00/hr - $23.00/hr, depending on skills and experience

**Hours of Work**: 1 Full-Time position, Tuesday - Saturday 5:30am - 2:00pm, and

a part-time position Saturday and Sunday’s day and evening shifts 7:30am - 4pm or 4:00pm - 12:30am.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain arena ice surface by operating the Engo Electric Ice Resurfacer, ice edger and other equipment to flood, shave, fill holes, etc.
- Maintain facility cleanliness (dressing rooms, café, hallways, meeting rooms, loby)
- Provide customer service to user groups and guests of the facility while ensuring rules and regulations of the facility are being followed.
- Ensure safety and security of the facility by complying with facility Policies and Procedures at all times and reporting all incidents to your immediate supervisor and completing forms as required.
- Conduct basic maintenance within the facility and its external boundaries. This includes painting, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance.

**Skills and Experience**
- Completion of Grade 12 or High School equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
- Valid Standard First Aid, AED, and CPR.
- Arena Operator Level 1 is considered an asset.
- Previous Arena experiences an asset
- Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Calgary

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends only

**Experience**:

- driving a zamboni or olympia ice resurfacer: 1 year (required)
- working in an ice arena: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Arena Operator Level 1 Certificate (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
