Purpose of the role
Under the supervision of the Director, Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring competencies and organizational development to support the company’s growth and strategies. This key role contributes to the training and development of teams, aligning initiatives with long-term organizational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the design, development and implementation of the competencies development structure and programs to strengthen the competencies required for the workforce and to achieve our strategic plan;
- Hire, train, develop and provide leadership and support to the team under his/her supervision;
- Ensure the implementation of training programs according to needs and in compliance with the standards set by the organization, while respecting set deadlines;
- Analyze competencies development needs for the company and make recommendations;
- Develop and deliver a variety of courses and workshops based on team needs, both in-person and online;
- Establish and manage external partnerships with training and development solution providers;
- Produce analyses, reports, and statistics on all training programs, and follow up with managers as required;
- Build partnerships with Emploi Québec and other organizations that can help us professionally and financially (grants) in training management;
- Oversee the maintenance of the Certificate of Quality for training initiatives;
- Ensure the success of the succession management program by identifying high-potential employees and providing them with the training and development they need to grow;
- Participate in the elaboration of development plans for key head office and distribution center employees;
- Propose innovative ideas for competencies and organizational development, and keep abreast of the latest trends in this field;
- Monitor performance indicators and propose modifications to existing initiatives to maximize their impact and value creation;
- Support the company in change management during structuring projects;
- Manage the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion program;
- Participate in various special projects within the Human Resources department.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in Human Resources management or industrial relations;
- 5 to 7 years experience in organizational and talent development;
- Knowledge of different training creation and delivery tools (more traditional modes and latest training trends, online, LMS, etc.);
- Knowledge of succession and competency-based management;
- Highly developed spoken and written communication skills, ability to communicate and lead sessions with different audiences in French and English (The person must support stores across Canada).
