**Position Summary**

The Administrative Assistant—Jordan's Principle Implementation Team will report to the Jordan’s Principle Implementation Team Lead and perform administrative duties for the Jordan’s Principle Implementation Team at the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs Secretariat.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide administrative support to the Jordan’s Principle Implementation Team.
- Provide administrative support to AMC Jordan’s Principle Equity Roundtable, including regular meetings of the regional First Nation Jordan’s Principle Technical Advisory Group.
- Assist in preparation of briefing notes, correspondence, summary reports and other documentation as assigned.
- Prepare and ensure timely distribution of appropriate materials and agenda items prior to meetings.
- Coordinate and prepare information packages related to Jordan’s Principle for AMC gatherings, conferences and assemblies.
- Prepare financial travel and accommodation required for AMC meetings on Jordan’s Principle.
- Respond to external and internal inquiries in an expedient, professional, and tactful manner.
- Record, transcribe and distribute minutes in a timely manner.
- Maintenance of an effective filing system.
- Managing calendars and making travel arrangements.
- Completing reports and financial data.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s in business administration, Commerce, or Accounting or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/ or at least 2 years experience in a fast-pace office setting.
- Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work co-operatively as part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and databases.
- Adhere to AMC policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance, and professional ethics.
- Possess a valid Class 5F Driver’s License and vehicle.
- Work flexible hours and travel upon request.
