**ABOUT YOU**

You are a planner, problem-solver and you are physically fit and capable of handling raw and printed material weighing up to 50lbs. You have an eye for detail and exercise a degree of urgency to meet deadlines. As a Digital Press Operator, you will be required to work within our QC&ME standards and Health and Safety guidelines.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

In this role, you will learn to operate digital imaging equipment (4-col & black/white only). You will review job instructions and Ripping files as required. This role also requires you to deliver materials from the Digital department to the Bindery/Finishing department or as specified on the docket instructions/

Once training is complete, you will have the ability to set-up, operate and perform basic routine adjustments to the equipment according to the job specifications; set up and release jobs from the print que; complete all job matrices and checklists. You will run Quality Control pulls on a job-by-job basis as specified by the Supervisor.

As a Plate-maker, you will perform all stages of the process, including quality checks on all plates to ensure that the product meets the highest standard; also includes maintenance of the plate processor, topping up of the chemistry and cleaning the equipment as Preventative Maintenance requires. You will load plates for Litho presses into the plate machine and ensure that the plates do not have the die-line images, then bag the plate and identify the press assigned for each plate; you will also be responsible for maintaining the drive rollers and keeping the plating equipment free of dust.
