Mine Maintenance Lead
Where will you work: Onsite - Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan (Highway #1 Plant site, 3 Kalium Road Belle Plaine, SK S0G 0G0 Canada)
Reporting to the Mining Manager, the Maintenance Lead for the Mining area will be responsible for supervision and support of trades/groups including pipefitters, welders, millwrights, carpenters, heavy equipment, mobile equipment mechanics, and groundskeeping. This position will also be responsible for facilities coordination and neighbour relations in the Mining area. Executing of maintenance work using proactive workflow processes is required. Demonstrated strong leadership and coaching skills with a passion for safe behaviours, environmental responsibility, continuous improvement, and efficient use of resources is a must.
What you’ll do?- Coordination of Maintenance trade supervisors, ensuring adherence to current workflow processes, and continuously searching for efficiency improvements.- Assumes responsibility and accountability for the safe behaviours of self and others.- Creates awareness of unsafe and/or environmentally harmful behaviours within the organization and looks for opportunities to improve employee safety and awareness.- Ensures regulatory, corporate and site safety and environmental standards are being followed.- Demonstrate support for Action Based Safety.- Assist and coordinate resources with maintenance workflow, production coordinators, trade supervisors, planners, and schedulers.- Provide input on budgets, spending, schedule, and shutdown execution activities.- Communicate site leadership goals, vision, and action plans to the trade supervisor groups. Participate in recruitment, retention, recognition, coaching, training, and career development of staff.-
- Strategic and long-term planning towards best practices and curating culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent- Journeyed in an industrial trade- A minimum of seven years of related- MS Office (including MS Project)- Experience using Maximo and SAP preferred
