**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of various animals, ensuring they are healthy, safe, and comfortable. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal welfare and possess experience in a laboratory setting.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and observations.
- Assist in the administration of medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff.
- Ensure that all animal enclosures are clean, safe, and secure.
- Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support research initiatives by preparing animals for laboratory procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or moving animals or equipment.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to their care.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
