**Leading our Fish and Reptile Department or our Small Animal and Bird Departments is a fun way to bring your love of animals to our guests and help them with all their pet needs, while leading a small team.**

This role is an integral part of the support structure of the store, you’re a member of the management team who aspires to uphold and develop the team alongside the store manager. You are an expert at balancing between a sales focus and operations focus; making sure things get done is your forte. You assist with the store’s team development and work hard to create an environment where all team members are driven to success through your efforts. You're always willing to develop your knowledge and you love change

You have a soft heart and adore animals, along with great communication and mentoring skills. Working with the store management team, you’ll enjoy the responsibility of ensuring all of our creatures are cared for according to Petland’s high standards of animal care.

You’ll love talking to guests and showing them everything they’ll need to care for their family pet, helping them to become educated about the four basic needs of every animal. You’ll thrive on building a successful team in your department, as well as the rest of the store. You’ll constantly grow with the ongoing opportunities for education in areas of animal care and good business practices.

**Applicants with existing pet keeping knowledge, or pet keeping experience are highly encouraged**
