Emblem Logistics Inc. (EMB) is currently seeking an _**Outbound Lead Hand **_to join our Day Shift team. This position is required Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Since 1912, Thomas, Large & Singer has been a preferred buy-sell distributor in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry for many Canadian and international clients. Emblem Logistics Inc. (EMB) is an Industry Leader providing warehousing and logistics services. Our Software Systems include: State-of-the-art warehouse management systems, providing accurate real-time information, customized reporting systems and EDI Capabilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing associates’ activities, assigning new tasks as needed, dealing with incoming drivers and visitors to the building. The Lead Hand is also responsible for operating a fork lift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise. They are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle
- Loading: Loading of outbound freight as assigned by dispatch window
- Picking: Prioritize pick sequence, assist pickers with any issues or escalate to supervisor if required
- Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
- Associate relations: First point of contact for resolving loading issues
- Ensure daily merge/keep consolidation is completed
- Aid in searching for missing pallets
- Assist other loaders by running product for them
- Provide guidance for new loaders
- Consolidate orders that are staged in multiple locations
- Other duties assigned by dayshift supervisors

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Effective communication skills
- Able to use and understand the Solochain system upon training
- Positive interaction skills
- Exceptional knowledge and experience within the industry and business unit
