The Project Manager position is responsible for the effective management of projects and coordination of internal and external resources to successfully deliver the objectives of a project. A typical project involves existing hardware (PCBs, enclosures, etc.) redesign to incorporate new wireless technologies, redesigns due to part obsolescence, as well as new product design programs. Projects would be staffed with a mix of electrical, mechanical, software, test, and manufacturing engineering disciplines. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully: - Builds and manages the development schedule for the project. - Works with functional managers to develop a comprehensive resource plan that correlates specific disciplines to the development schedule. - Provides guidance to development team on expectations for development regarding schedule and scope. - Coordinates with Program Management to provide impact analysis of any discovery or requested scope changes. - Continuously reports on progress of the development project in relation to current schedule and budget expectations. - Raises awareness to stakeholders of any impediment or new discovery that may impact schedule, budget, or ability to meet intended deliverables. - Raises awareness of any resource restriction that may impact ability to deliver. - Advises the organization on any additional needs of the development team that may be outside the original plan. - Ensures clear communication between all development groups. - Provides updates on achievements and key milestones. - Light travel will be required based on the duties. - Other duties as assigned or required. **GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS**: **Education and Experience**: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, engineering degree preferred. - Must have 5+ years in Project Management experience. **Abilities and Skills**: - Must be a confident communicator and presenter. - Must be able to balance multiple projects, change orders, and priorities simultaneously. - Superior project management and time management skills with a wide degree of creativity and flexibility. - Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management - Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software development projects including workflow and testing for qualification. DO-160 testing experience preferred but not required. - Proficient with general office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to a variety of other software databases. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS**: While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs).
