Food Technology Consulting (FTC) is a food safety consulting company with its main office in Mississauga, Ontario. Our clients are located mainly across Canada, with some in the USA and the Caribbean. We offer training, auditing and consulting services to the food, beverage and packaging industry and have been growing consistently in the last few years. As a result of our growth, we are looking to hire a Food Safety Specialist.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Participate in multiple concurrent food safety projects (development, implementation, training)
- Review completed records, communicate findings, deliver training as necessary
- Conduct food safety program maintenance at the clients’ facilities
- Conduct GMP inspections, internal audits, risk assessments
- Review lab testing reports and provide solutions for deviations
- Participate in third-party audits
- Support clients in closing NCR’s
- Deliver annual training to the clients’ employees
- Develop and maintain good client-FTC relationships
- Provide excellent customer service
- Understanding regulations (GFSI Code/CFIA/FSMA/GFCP)

**Other Requirements**:

- Training in GFSI benchmarked food safety schemes (e.g. BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000, CanadaGAP)
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills working under mínimal supervision
- Able to work at (commute to) different facilities several times per week
- Ability to work in different food sectors
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, especially technical writing
- Ability to collect, maintain, evaluate and summarize data and write reports
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Team player with high values and integrity and a positive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
