Content Creation:
- Create engaging, informative original content highlighting GROW & Apprenticeship Programs for all appropriate communications vehicles and platforms, such as social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), newsletters, websites
- Develop and coordinate content calendars and schedules for consistent posting
- Craft narratives making content engaging for diverse audiences
- Use design tools as needed for content production
- Ensure communications and design meet funder’s standards; coordinate approvals
Social Media Management:
- Manage social media accounts for GROW and Apprenticeship Programs
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries
- Ensure communications meet funder branding/communication standards
- Utilize social media management tools to coordinate scheduling/posts
- Execute social media strategies for GROW and Apprenticeship Programs
- Strategically coordinate cross-platform content sharing in collaboration with the Communications Team and Workforce Development (GROW, Apprenticeship Programs)
Marketing Campaigns:
- Design marketing campaigns for social media, events, and initiatives
- Create, schedule, and promote campaign content
- Execute ad buys on social platforms
- Measure ROI for ad campaigns
- Increase engagement across social channels
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion rates)
- Use analytics platforms (Google Analytics)
- Prepare comprehensive performance reports
- Critically evaluate data and identify actionable insights
- Communicate findings verbally and in written reports
Community/Team Engagement:
- Build and foster online community relationships
- Respond to comments and industry conversations
- Monitor industry trends
- Collaborate with Workforce Development, Intake Triage Administrator and others as appropriate
- Engage with industry influencers and association partners
Web Management:
- Conduct regular SEO audits (GROW and Apprenticeship Programs)
- Analyze web traffic statistics
- Develop website content
- Create/update landing pages and event registration pages for GROW and Apprenticeship Programs
- Use Google Ads to promote content
- Attend GROW/Apprenticeship Program events for digital coverage
**Digital Marketing Specialist Requirements**
- Preferably 2-3 years professional experience in digital communications
- University degree or related education in marketing and/or communications
- Experience using Google Workplace
- Proficiency with web and social media monitoring and analytic tools, such as Google Analytics, and experience tracking, monitoring and measuring social media and web campaigns
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, and best practices for content development and community engagement.
- Experience buying social media ads (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter), as well as analyzing and reporting campaign performance.
- Knowledge of social media for business and influence marketing tactics
- Excellent copywriting and marketing communication skills
- Proven ability to generate content for a variety of audiences
- Highly organized and able to plan and execute multiple concurrent campaigns
- Comfortable working in a complex team environment where many people are competing for their time and expertise
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is an asset.
- A dynamic team player who is diplomatic, customer-service oriented and able to resolve conflicts.
