**Information & Segmentation Analyst**

Annual salary: $ 86,200.00 - 92,900.00

**What you'll do**

by: meeting with internal clients to discuss, analyze, determine and define client requirements for data extracts or
information; advising internal clients on department procedures for submitting and formulating requests in keeping with BCH
privacy and confidentiality directives, and assisting clients to meet their obligations thereunder; determining methodology
and tools; extracting data from data base systems that matches the agreed client requirements and timelines, and resolving
inconsistencies and conflicts within the data; and summarizing findings in a manner that is understandable by clients who
do not have a proficient understanding of databases or data structures.
- Provides defensible technical advice to internal clients and persuades them to adopt the most technically sound approach

in order for them to better prepare data and analysis for customer segmentation, campaigns, statistical analysis, business
cases, BCUC filings and surveys. Provides consultative support to various teams in their utilization of data to develop
strategic direction, brand messages, processes, policies and procedures for new and existing products. Utilizes methods
and databases that facilitate the defense of work and underlying logic employed for information used in BCUC filings and
briefs senior BCH team members regarding the logic and extraction methods employed.
- Determines industry groupings by critically choosing data and trends within the data; researches and identifies the key

value drivers within each industry; prepares industry profiles identifying key drivers, current and past trends, historical
origins and anticipated impacts on key customers and industries.
- Tracks customer interactions and maintains quality of related data.
- Converts and cleanses data arriving in non-standard formats so that it can be imported into existing data structures.
- Sets priorities, maintains own schedule of work and tracks progress. Provides technical direction, guidance and training to

**What you bring**

and database structure, information system design, data modeling, data analysis, program logic determination, specification
level is typically acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics or
Computer Information Systems, with an emphasis on applied statistical methods and/or PC-based programming languages;
- plus completion of a combination of other courses such as SPSS, SAS, SQL Server, SQL, or Oracle. Masters degree
preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in data segmentation (and segmentation model maintenance), analysis, and statistical

methods. In addition, satisfactory performance will require approximately one (1) year in the job to acquire the knowledge
and skills necessary to perform the full scope of the job.
