At HTEC Hydrogen Technology & Energy Corporation, we’re unlocking the potential of hydrogen to reduce climate change and air pollution. Based in Vancouver, we design, build, and operate hydrogen fuel supply solutions to support the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles. Every day, we’re delivering safe, reliable, convenient, sustainable, and low-cost hydrogen to customers and consumers, how, when, and where they need it.

**Job brief**

We are looking for a Financial Analyst position to support our growing team. The Financial Analyst will conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects of the company.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with project managers to create metrics and reports to better track and analyze projects’ performance
- Provide analysis, summary and back up of source data to project managers
- Preparation of various funding reporting submissions
- Perform budgeting variance and forecasting analysis for various levels of management and business segmentation
- Support the monthly board reporting process
- Evaluating current capital expenditures and cash flow requirements
- Prepare profit and loss models, cash flows and other management reports to forecast financial outcomes
- Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
- Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
- Liaising with BD Team for reporting or other needs (proposals & bid support)
- Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
- Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of similar finance experience
- Strong numeracy as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint
- Advanced Accounting/ERP software experience (preferably NetSuite) with proven ability to create reports based on financial reporting needs

**Assets**
- Knowledge of NetSuite (Oracle) and QuickBooks
- Experience in SharePoint
- Pursuit of CPA designation
