We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the operations and management of our business. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, provide exceptional customer service, and drive sales.
**Duties**:
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
- Supervise and train staff members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering merchandise as needed
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and meet targets
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and motivate staff
- Assist with scheduling and payroll management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
**Skills**:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and suppliers
- Administrative abilities to handle paperwork, data entry, and other administrative tasks
- Leadership qualities to motivate and inspire team members
- Team management skills to delegate tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone
- Experience in supervising employees and providing guidance when necessary
- Previous retail management experience is preferred
- Knowledge of buying trends and retail sales strategies
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
