Being one of the oldest Indigenous economic development corporations in Canada, we have holdings in the industrial, mining, nuclear, retail, property development, communication sectors. **Job Title**: Site Maintenance Operator **Job Summary**: Reporting under the direction from the Director, Property Management, the Site Maintenance Operator provides maintenance and minor custodial service to the English River Property Management facilities and tenants located at the Grasswood business location in Saskatoon. The employee in this position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and custodial duties associated with building and site maintenance activities. **Reports To**: Director, Property Management **Location**:2555 Grasswood Road East, English River First Nation #192J; adjacent to Saskatoon, SK. **Key Responsibilities**: - Responsible for the proper operation of the mechanical, electrical and boiler systems, ensuring safety procedures are followed and building heat and ventilation are suitable. - Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (i.e. preparing surfaces, paint, stain, and varnish, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.) to provide operable and efficient facilities. - Assists in performing scheduled and "as needed" inspection and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to maintain the operability of the tools and equipment. - Maintain the grounds including coordinating and performing some lawn maintenance, snow removal of walkways and the parking area, ensuring safety and the regular maintenance of the grounds. - Performs preventative maintenance in and around facilities. - Coordinating contractors for various projects on the grounds or in facilities. - Organizing work to be performed daily and under a strict schedule. - Driving and inspecting land locations, offices, etc. - Performs related duties as required. **Education and Experience**: - Grade 12, experience with building maintenance is an asset - Operation of various yard equipment (i.e. motorized lawn equipment and trimmers). - Knowledge of the practices, procedures, equipment and materials used in the maintenance and repair of buildings and related systems. - Ability to work independently. - Ability to lift heavy items exceeding 40 kg. - Must provide an updated criminal record check. - Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. **Capabilities**: - Must have the ability to work under pressure situations. - Must be able to meet deadlines as they arise. - Ability to deal with shifting priorities in a high workload environment. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail required. - Must be able to work in a team environment. - Take initiative, be proactive, be solution orientated and innovative. - Availability to work overtime when needed.
