Event and Banquet Supervisor

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years’ service and/or banquet experience within a supervisory capacity
- Serving It Right certificate is an asset
- Food Safe certificate is an asset
- First Aid certificate is an asset
- General wine and practical bartending skills are an asset
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, POS, and event software) are an asset
- General knowledge of audio-visual equipment is an asset
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

**Responsible for but not limited to**:

- Providing exceptional, personalized service to our members and their guests
- Adhering to the Club’s rules
- Ensuring Club's food and beverage service standards are upheld
- Assist the Club Event Manager, Executive Chef and other organizers with banquet event orders (BEO), room layouts, set-up/tear-down, and other banquet/event related tasks
- Inspection of all inventories - china, glassware, silverware, and linen items needed for the venue ensuring cleanliness, and condition quality.
- Participating in and supervising banquet teams; checking all staffing needs for upcoming events
- Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events not limited to set-up, execution, and closing duties.
- Conducts event pre-shifts with banquet staff, communicating the BEO details to ensure the success of the banquet/event
- Allocate and assign stations, duties, and tasks to ensure all needs have been met and to check for any last-minute instructions or changes.
- Act as a liaison to the kitchen, event host, and Club Event Manager
- Requisition liquor for all banquet bars and maintain proper control over banquet beverage service. Inventories are complete and accurate.
- Assign event closing tasks at the end of the evening
- Filling in for the Club Event Manager when they are absent.
- Report all maintenance, repair, or housekeeping concerns to the Maintenance and Housekeeping department
- Assist Human Resources, Club Event Manager, and catering department with training of Banquet staff and other administrative tasks
- Participate in other Food and Beverage outlets dependent on business demands and opportunities

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Competitive hourly wage of $27.50-$30.00 (includes guaranteed monthly gratuities) for full-time. Part-time employees commensurate with service experience
