Maintenance Technician I

- Specific projects as assigned by Operations Manager
- Light sample machining and coordination with machine shops for more extensive machining and fixture builds
- Equipment Electronic/Mechanical Maintenance & Set-up Support
- Test Equipment maintenance per PM (Preventative Maintenance) schedule and manufacturer’s directions
- Equipment set-up per manufacturer’s instructions
- Ability to perform troubleshooting while working with manufacturer and test leads
- Conduct preventative maintenance and report to Operations Manager
- Working with Calibration Suppliers for equipment calibration as needed
- Working with refrigeration and electrical contractors for equipment installation and repair as required
- Facilities PM and repair where applicable (Electrical, Water, Cooling Towers, Compressed Air Systems, Testing Equipment, Housekeeping) and working with suppliers as arranged
- Planning and historical notes for all maintenance and repair in data logs and equipment files
- Housekeeping and improvements to equipment layout, storage, grounds, interior and exterior spaces
- Test set-up support and equipment Installation
- Daily time tracking and daily reporting of tasks completed, tasks in progress
- Prioritizing of tasks with support from senior team and working the ticketing system as required
- Generating notes and meeting minutes (key points/decisions with timing) - MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Contact Management System
- All tasks to be estimated with clear due dates prior to commencing.
- Assistance and support for team to ensure daily corporate testing and reporting commitments are fulfilled per required timing.
- Project outline for required steps to completion with estimation of time and resources required
- Communication with Testing Group management to ensure no facilities shut down compromises testing commitment and un for seen equipment shutdown or unavailability
- Ensure key facilities support resources such as water, air, LN2, cooling tower, HVAC, lighting, drainage, exhaust, electrical, etc. are kept operational - Emergency and after hours availability may be required and is mandatory.
- Equipment moving, unloading, disposal and decommissioning

Skillset
- Ability to read electrical and electronic diagrams
- Mechanical assembly and disassembly
- Equipment controls working knowledge
- Working with small tools, band saw, drill press, compressed air and industrial tools in a safe and organized manner
- Written reporting and documentation of equipment condition and notification of management

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
