This is a unique opportunity to lead the team responsible for creating a unique space to inspire our customers. The Visual Merchandising Manager is a leadership position and cross-functional role connected to Purchasing + Inventory Distribution, Marketing and Retail Store. This position is responsible for the organizational, physical, creative and administrative tasks in support of the visual merchandising and display strategies. Reporting to the Fashion Director, the Visual Merchandising Manager plans and executes the strategic placement of product to maximize sales opportunities.
**THE ROLE**
As the Visual Merchandising Manager, you will:
- Lead the Hill’s Dry Goods visual merchandising team to consistently employ the in-store standards of product merchandising, display and stock maintenance.
- Strategically place product on the sales floor to communicate the brand and product story to enhance the customer journey in-store and maximize sales opportunity.
- Ensure effective in-store product placement is in line with purchasing and marketing directives and the brand or category investment.
- Support the visual store appearance throughout all retail spaces; including store window installations, styling in-store hanging display, shelf and table display utilizing in-store marketing and sell-through strategies.
- Review and analyze weekly product sell-through reports in relation to the effectiveness of in-store product placement and visual presentation.
- Support store teams and coordinate visual merchandising team for all in-store and eCommerce marketing events, promotions and seasonal sale periods to ensure in-store product placement and strategy is in line with marketing initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day scheduling and performance of the merchandising team in support of meeting business objectives according to plan.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
The Visual Merchandising Manager has:
- Strong fashion + brand knowledge, aesthetic and style representing Hills Dry Goods.
- The skills, experience and/or education that are an asset to perform in the role
- At least 2 years of visual merchandising experience
- The ability to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams
- The ability to set clear merchandising objectives, training and inspiration to the team
- A commitment to a high-quality execution of visual merchandising with results that add value to store locations and the customer experience.
