You may at times be requested to assist & support other CHANEL boutiques in Canada. You will uphold the brand image through all categories and presentation methods with a view to maximize the visual impact and the commercial potential within boutiques. You will help oversee and support any promotional activity, including sites, windows, and special events.You will communicate at various levels, both externally and internally, as well as being reliable, supportive and flexible as the business demands, including some out of hours/weekend work as required. The job will involve some travel whilst working across boutiques which are located in Canada.What impact you can create at Chanel:1. Personal EffectivenessEfficient monitoring and review of suitable weekly journey planners, relevant weekly reports and other necessary administration from Visual MerchandisingImplementing set designs, plans and window schemes, ensuring brand consistency within “the look” and presentation of windows and boutique displaysStyling and dressing of mannequins as well as window schemes making use of creative lighting for window displaysRespecting “the codes” and recommendations whilst also making use of creativitySuitable ordering of the merchandising and display itemsMaximising the space and layout of the store; using available space to the best advantageGiving feedback to the Fashion Director and to the Boutique Managers; visiting boutiques, working with boutique sales staff to develop their understanding of the VM presentationsPhotographing the boutique windows, each wall and every display, in order to create a visual merchandising pack to send out to other boutiques (to ensure that all stores are consistent with the company brand and image)Implementing the designs and plans created by Paris Image Department, which may involve manual work including lifting, carrying and climbing ladders2. CommunicationEffective verbal and written communication at various levels both externallyand internally to include Line Manager(s), store teams and head office, primarily to advise and update on any queries regarding visual merchandising, presentation and promotions and any boutique issuesTo provide prompt and accurate, verbal and written information as requested by the Fashion DirectorChecking of VM schedule for information and updates as well as appropriateEnsure follow-ups and prompt completion of weekly activities and regular reports provided to line management3. Customer Service / Customer ExperienceTo demonstrate an appropriate and courteous manner at all times as well as adhering to rules and guidelines for all sites visitedTo ensure that the best levels of customer care are offered at all times, providing relevant support and advice to store teams regarding visual merchandising guidelinesTo work effectively with store managementEnsure that any Client approach is facilitated in the correct manner.Should a client approach you for assistance; smile, make eye contact, be polite and considerate of their needs and offer to find a boutique sales consultant to assist them4. AppearanceTo present a smart, well-groomed personal appearance at all times, reflecting the image of the companyIn addition to being well presented, flexible and self motivated the ability to work independently, showing initiative and enthusiasm5. VM Boutique OperationsTimely and accurate completion of general boutique visual merchandising, administration, adhering to set procedures and policies as appropriateTo maintain and respect company property as appropriateAssist with the preparation as well as attending regular events, including special events, promotions etc.Adhere to relevant Health & Safety as well as Security procedures and guidelines at all times6.
