In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known pure palladium sources in North America. **Safety & Training Advisor
- 6 Month Contract**

Reporting to the Safety Manager or designate the Safety & Training Advisor will work a (7) seven days on, (7) seven days off rotation, can be varied, if agreed upon. The Safety & Training Advisor will be responsible for interacting with all departments on the mine site, including both underground and surface on various safety initiatives and issues.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator will include but are not limited to:
Spending the majority of the 12-hour shift in the workplace (surface and or/Underground) with workers and supervisors

Complete daily job observations and employee interaction forms with workers and supervisors
- Assist in new worker development by reviewing current SOP’s and health & safety polices

Oversee daily duties with supervision and assist with the mentorship of new supervisors

**Qualifications**:
An Occupational Health & Safety background related to the position

5 years’ minimum experience in Mining Health & Safety is considered an asset

Aptitude for creating and maintaining a positive safe work atmosphere

Efficient with Microsoft Office programs

Good communication skills are a must

The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of base salary and travel allowance. Accommodations and meals are provided while at the mine site. During your off-duty time enjoy various outdoor and indoor extracurricular activities.

Please note that all job offers are conditional upon successful completion of a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol testing.
