**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the senior executive, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for electronic validation, matching, and coding of invoices, preparing payments, and other ad-hoc duties that will be required within the position.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Full cycle accounting which includes but is not limited to AP, journal entries, account reconciliation, multi-currency accounting, and intercompany transactions
Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation, including packing slips; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Process staff expense forms and verify documentation
Maintain financial files and records
Monitors accounts payable to ensure that payments are up to date and on time
Prepare invoice and the necessary documents, for the project and prepare to invoice for sales and reimbursements to vendors
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Performs other administrative duties as required

3-5 years experience in accounts payable
**Salary**: $15.50-$27.07 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- English not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- vendor management: 1 year (preferred)
- Accounts payable: 3 years (required)
