We are looking for a Business Services Officers (BSO) to support our Energy, Mining and Environment (EME) Research Centre. The BSO would share our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
As a BSO, you will be part of a team of professionals supporting the business management activities of EME Research Centre. Working alongside Business Development Officers (BDO), you will have the opportunity to broaden your experience by gaining valuable exposure to business development, while strengthening your analytical and marketing competences. Working closely with the BDOs, the NRC contract’s team and the EME Management Team, the BSO has a major responsibility to provide an agile execution of the business development processes at the RC.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain nBoss up-dated with the appropriate level of documentation and traceability.
- Liaison agent between the business development officers and the researchers in order to prepare project’s statement of work (SOW) and fix costing.
- Working with Contract Coordinators to prepare contracts based on standard agreement templates and ensures that updates on all assigned opportunities are entered in NRC’s Client Relationship Management system on a timely basis.
- Providing support to overall business development and marketing activities; e.g. reports and analysis from the CRM, preparing marketing collateral and preparing and organizing materials for conferences and trade shows.
It is expected that the BSO leverages the NRC Business Development Community of Practice to regularly benchmark and remain current on best practices, policies, and guidelines related to business development and client services, as well as make use of training and business development opportunities.
A great work environment also means all EME staff is on-site for a minimum of three days a week to meet with peers and have the chance to interact with others.

**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration.
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

**Experience**:
- Significant and recent experience in client service and/or customer support in a research and technology organization;
- Recent experience in research, quantitative and qualitative analysis and report and presentation preparation;
- Experience in establishing collaborative working relationships and managing multiple stakeholder interests;
- Experience in event planning and management.
- Significant and recent refer to at least two (2) years of experience within the past five (5) years.

**Relocation**:
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.
**Compensation**:
From $69,087 to $81,221 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
