**The Position Description**

The position is supported by a Quality Assurance Consultant who will provide guidance and develop the individual knowledge and expertise in quality as it applies to cannabis regulations.

**About The Eight House Growers Inc.**

We’re a start-up facility and micro-cultivator that grows small-batch craft cannabis in the heart of Calgary, Alberta. We our focused on premium products for the Canadian and International legal cannabis markets.

**Position Responsibilities/Duties**
- Assist in document control: distribution, archival, logbook generation, and all required follow-ups.
- Perform QA Cultivation process monitoring: document preparation, accuracy of document completion, inventory, issuance, reconciliation, and destruction.
- Assist with Production Work Order (PWO) documents: issuance, retrieval, and review.
- Monitor control points: review records, confirm environmental settings, collect samples, and provide feedback.
- Support the inspection of incoming materials and assist with material release.
- Identify non-conformities and deviations and assist in performing investigations as required.
- Understand and follow SOPs and procedures to GMP/GPP standards.
- Perform site Quality Assurance under guidance from a consultant.
- Interface with suppliers and/or regulators.
- Present and possibly lead site inspection.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Successfully pass a criminal record check and other security-related requirements.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in Quality Assurance in a cannabis facility or manufacturing environment.
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some post-secondary education in a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and adept at learning new software programs

**Soft Skills**
- Must have good interpersonal skills to maintain effective work relationships.
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a high level of problem-solving abilities and remain calm in all situations.
- Collect data and generate reports comprehensibly.
- Self-motivated.

**Position Preferences**
- Experience in a cannabis, liquor, tobacco, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry.
- Understanding of a Document Control System within a manufacturing environment.
- A valid cannabis security clearance is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with GPP and/or GMP.

**Working Conditions and Physical Requirements**
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work independently with a workstation setup within cultivation/processing spaces.
- Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to displace some work hours. Some work is required to be performed in the evenings and on Saturdays.
