The Maintenance Supervisor assumes the role of a technical leader and has overall responsibility for ensuring timely and quality repair of equipment and plant machinery to minimize downtime for safe and efficient operation. The role takes initiatives to ensure operations are in compliance with safety standards and environmental practices.

**Job Type**: Full-time, Contract untill June 30, 2025

**Responsibilities**:

- Acts as Back-up for Bakery Quality Manager - Leader & Quality Technicians shift coverage per Business requirements, including responding to customer complaints.
- Perform Shelf-life evaluations on the products per established procedures.
- Conduct daily GMP walkthrough & report any/all findings. Investigate RCA & Implement CAPA after reviewing with the Bakery Quality Manager - Leader.
- Supports the Development of Food Safety and Quality training, with the Bakery Quality Manager - Leader and conducts training on food safety and quality requirements for all employees in the bakery.
- Manages product specification verification and documentation.
- Examines incoming raw materials, process and finished products to make sure they comply with quality and food safety standards.
- Verifies packaging operation to ensure correct packaging, labelling, production codes, and best before marking and carton labelling.
- Conducts sampling of the plant environment and equipment, water, raw materials and finished products for microbiological and/ or analytical testing / sensory evaluation
- Supports Trials/first production approval runs in keeping with compliance to Stage Gate protocols
- Hold of product or ingredient control and dispositions.
- Assists with the maintenance of all HACCP programs at site level.
- Participate & Support in all internal/ third party/ CFIA and/or FDA audits
- Identify, report non-conformance for any out of compliance situation or food safety incidents. Support Bakery Quality Manager - Leader with RCA & CAPA implementation for ingredients/packaging and finished products.
- Completes inspections for glass and brittle plastics, pest control, and overall plant food safety
- Support Bakery Quality Manager - Leader with RFT Data measurements & Consumer complaint investigations.
- Reports and logs analytical test results for each line and ensure compliance to WB and/or customer specifications
- Completes shift reports and audit sheets as required
- Performs certificate of analysis reviews and data entry and filing.
- Issues Non Conformance reporting for incoming ingredient or packaging deviations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or per business requirements.

**Job Requirements**:

- Should be flexible to work rotational shifts & weekends per business requirement
- Must have intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. skills.
- 2+ years experience in Quality Assurance in food manufacturing
- Post-secondary education in relevant field
- Good knowledge of food safety (HACCP) programs, GMP, and Quality Systems
