**Company Overview**:
Quantum Energy Technologies provides R&D and contract engineering services to the oil and gas industry, focusing on developing new downhole telemetry technology to improve drilling and completions. We specialize in custom solutions that combine robust mechanical performance with advanced electronic data and sensing capabilities.

**Position: Quality Assurance Coordinator**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform quality control inspections on materials and components prior to assembly to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Document inspection results, maintain records, and prepare reports, including certificates of conformance.
- Support vendor audits and manage third-party inspection materials.
- Coordinate and manage supplier 'Non-Conformance Reports' (NCRs) and implement corrective actions.
- Provide production support by inspecting and measuring components to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assist in the receiving of goods, logistics and shipping of goods, ensuring that all required documentation is accurate and complete.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless communication between quality assurance and design processes.
- Organize and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and vendor certifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Engineering Change support and/or Calibration Coordination

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong experience in inspection techniques and documentation, with excellent attention to detail.
- Solid mechanical skills and experience with mechanical measurement tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of downhole tool design and familiarity with oil and gas industry standards is an asset.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- This role is primarily based in our office in Calgary, with occasional work in our mechanical lab.
- Some travel to our US office may be required for training
