Overview:
We are looking for a caregiver with previous experience with a baby to work with our nearly 13 month old on a casual basis. Looking for 1 shift minimum each week but someone who is able to be on-call and willing to take on random shifts if needed. This could include evenings and weekends.
**Note: This would be an ideal position for a student in the ECE program who is committed, responsible and reliable.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare children’s meals and feed them (including bottle-feeding for babies)
- Change diapers
- Put down for scheduled naps
- Tidy up play areas and children’s room
- Work with parents to provide suitable activities and learning
- Focus will always be on providing attention and care to child
Requirements and Skill
- Previous and documented experience with a 1 year old
- Patience and calmness is key
- Full G drivers licence, in case of emergencies
- Willing to work in a home with surveillance
- Knowledge of first aid and crisis management, first aid certification preferred
Compensation:
- $16.00 to $19.00/hr, negotiable and dependent on experience
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week
**Salary**: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
