**DSW (Developmental Service Worker) Diploma position**

**DSW Hourly Wage Grid**: $19.00+$2.00 Provincial WEG premium =$21.00 per hour

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Must be at least **18 years** of age
- Ability to be employed in Canada
- Ability to be present on site between **6:00 am and 6:00 pm** **(4120 Elmview Drive, Hanmer, Ontario)**:

- Bilingualism is a definite asset (French and English)
- Valid **First Aid & CRP-C**certificate
- Valid **Food Handler** certificate
- Current Police **Vulnerable Sector Check** (CPIC)
- Interpersonal skills and abilities required to work as part of a team
- Competency to work without supervision
- Problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Leadership qualities

**Overview of Responsibilities**
- Supporting the child in the childcare environments.
- Using communication techniques to relay information.
- Empowering the individual supported to participate and be successful in all aspects of the program.
- Providing personal care as required (e.g. lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, medication administration, etc.).
- Assisting with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives.
- Assisting with program development.
- Ensuring documentation and records are complete.
