**Position Summary**

The Vice President, Technical Services oversees aircraft airworthiness and maintenance to ensure Rise Air achieves operational excellence. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this executive role is a key member of our leadership team, responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and efficiency across our fleet.

**Key Responsibilities and Competencies**
- Oversee aircraft maintenance, planning, and production across multiple locations.
- Develop a supply chain strategy to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
- Lead aircraft reliability programs to enhance availability and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality assurance programs.
- Guide fleet planning, including aircraft selection, modification, and retirement.
- Foster continuous improvement through operational analysis and strategic enhancements.
- Serve as a primary liaison for Transport Canada and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and other industry standards.
- Drive safety culture and risk management across technical services operations.
- Build and lead a high-performing technical team with clear succession planning.
- Work cross-functionally with flight operations, ground services, HR, and Accounting and Finance.
- Provide strategic guidance on aircraft acquisition, asset management, and retention.

**Indicators of Success (Key Performance Indicators)**
- Increased aircraft availability and reliability through optimized maintenance processes.
- Reduction in maintenance costs while maintaining safety and compliance.
- Improved turnaround times for parts and maintenance operations.
- Strong regulatory compliance with zero major infractions.
- Development and retention of highly skilled technical staff.
- Effective execution of fleet expansion and retirement strategies.

**Key Relationships**
- Reports directly to the President & CEO.
- Executive representation for Rise Air Board of Directors.
- Collaborates with Flight Operations, Ground Services, HR, and Training.
- Serves as a primary contact for Transport Canada and industry associations.
- Manages relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications**
- Extensive leadership experience in aviation.
- Post-secondary education in business or aviation management.
- Transport Canada-approved maintenance and technology program completion.
- Strong expertise in financial and risk management principles.
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and execution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance operations software.

**Commencement Date**

April 1, 2025 or mutually agreed date.
