NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference We are looking for a part-time casual instructor to join our Continuing Education team, teaching custom offerings of our Dental Office Assistant program from April 15, 2025 to August 15, 2025. This program teaches skills in dental business administration.

**How you'll make a different**:
Applicants should have a strong background in a dental discipline, working with groups, managing a classroom, and creating engaging and dynamic lessons, utilizing a variety of teaching methods.

Courses available for casual teaching assignments are:

- Dental Terminology
- Dental Office Procedures
- Computer Applications for Dental Office Professionals (Dentrix)

Other courses available for casual teaching assignments are:

- Introduction to Communications
- Administrative Health-Care Procedures

Preference will be given to applicants who have the ability to teach a variety of courses.

The hours of work are usually day time, Monday to Friday, though some evening and weekend work may be required. The program will be offered online while some live sessions may be offered.

**What you bring**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a dental or education discipline. Equivalencies will be considered.
- At least two years of recent experience working in the dental industry.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Registration with a dental association is considered an asset (e.g. CRDHA, CADA).
- Proficiency using technology; demonstrated experience teaching using Moodle and/or Blackboard Ultra is preferred.

**SALARY**: Reflective upon what you bring. AKA your education and experience. This opportunity also includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits. This is a contract position and an hourly rate will be established relative to individual experience offered and the budget allocated for instruction.

This is a Faculty role, and the pay range is quite large, check out the Faculty Collective Agreement Appendix A to better understand how pay is determined.
