**Position Summary**

The Partnerships Manager serves as a key catalyst in advancing the university's mission and vision by actively cultivating and nurturing strategic collaborations and partnerships. In this dynamic role, the incumbent is responsible for identifying, initiating, and fostering meaningful relationships with external stakeholders, including education institutions, businesses, industry associations, and more. Reporting to the Vice President of Student Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships, this pivotal role focuses on driving growth, revenue generation, and stakeholder engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a business development plan to build and expand strategic partnerships.
- Record, track and report on the value of the strategic partnerships, both from a tuition generation standpoint and from a student diversity perspective.
- Actively engage with representatives from various organizations to identify and arrange appropriate partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with the student recruitment team and other IBU stakeholders to ensure that all strategic partnerships are reposited into a central database and work closely with the compliance team to execute MOUs and other partnership related agreements.
- Negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders and attend key meetings and information sessions to identify and present potential partnership opportunities.
- Manage stakeholder relations by actively engaging other departments, internal and external stakeholders, and industry partners to source, negotiate, and develop new partnership proposals.
- Scope, identify, and secure partnership and funding opportunities.
- Coordinate and complete the development of partnership proposals, ensuring alignment with university goals and objectives.
- Conduct research to identify and understand potential target markets and devise recruitment strategies to drive enrollment.
- Collaborate with Marketing to implement sales and marketing plans, increasing awareness and articulating the value proposition of university programs.
- Track and manage proposal submission timelines to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all documents.
- Follow up on submitted proposals to address any inquiries and provide additional information as needed.
- Maintain regular and continuous communication with all stakeholders involved in the partnership and provide any necessary reporting tasks to provide updates, track progress, and ensure transparency and accountability.
- Develop and execute engagement opportunities for the university with industry, community, and institutional partners.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field of study (e.g., Business).
- Minimum four (4) years of progressive experience in business development, with experience working in higher education and an understanding of the private education sector.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating strategic relationships with industry partners.
- Proven experience in both national and international business development, including the ability to develop new business opportunities and effectively manage existing relationships.
- Ability to synthesize market and sector trends in higher education to inform strategic decision-making.
- Experience in evaluating business opportunities, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic project environment and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software, along with adaptability to learn and utilize new technologies.
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, building rapport and establishing productive working relationships.
- Must have strong computer skills including the use of word processing, database management, spreadsheet, as well as ability to adapt to and learn new technologies.
