The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking for 2 System Test Analysts for 6 month engagements offered within the Ottawa region over a 12-month period.
**The position is required to be onsite the majority of the time (75%)**
The System Test Specialist will support the testing of real-time, mission and safety-critical Air Traffic Management Software. The consultant will focus on developing and executing system test protocols and participation in certification activities. The consultant's activities shall be in accordance with Corporate Safety and Quality policies and practices, and the Engineering Safety and Quality policies and practices.
**2. Responsibilities**
Under the overall direction of the Manager, the contractor, working with the other project team members, shall perform the following tasks:
- Work closely with developers working in an Agile software development environment.
- Raise and triage of defects, and participation in defect management activities.
- Ensuring high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release.
- Ensuring project activities are conducted in a timely manner and following established processes.
- Drafting and/or validating test plans, test cases, and test scripts as required for operational validation.
- Execution of manual and automated testing.
- Ensuring test plans, cases and scripts are repeatable and reusable.
- Comparing test findings and results to business requirements and methods and procedures.
- Support/Execute software certification activities.
**3. Qualifications**
- Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science or information systems.
- Knowledge of Windows operating system. Knowledge of LINUX operating system an asset.
- Solid knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and troubleshooting (Agile, SAFe, DevOps, Waterfall).
- Experience and knowledge in security testing techniques and tools.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Robot Framework and Test Complete an asset.
- Use of test management tools (such as IBM Jazz) for managing test artefacts, defect management and software configuration management.
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Managements systems an asset.
- Develops effective and positive interpersonal relationships through respect for others, fairness, tact, persuasiveness, effective expression, and open communication.
- ISTQB or CSTE certification an asset.
- SAFe certification an asset.
- Effective English language written and verbal communication skills.
