**TRAFFIC CONTROLLER**

Pioneer Construction is looking for hard-working, self-motivated employees with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Traffic Control Person in the Thunder Bay area. The Traffic Control Person will require a high level of professionalism and independence. This is a full-time seasonal position available with an extensive benefits package.

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Set-up and take down traffic control signs and devices
- Control the safe and efficient flow of traffic through construction zones
- Standing for extended periods of time in all weather conditions outdoors
- Keep a log of all daily tasks and filling in time sheet and work order
- Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed
- Display professionalism toward our company and customers
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Drivers license is considered an asset, but is not required for employment
- High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset
- Experience in the concrete or construction industry is considered an asset

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Capable of all physical requirements including lifting (up to 50lb), bending, climbing, etc.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
