National Account Manager

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the National Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with Metro Corp divisions/banners, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of Lindt’s sales and profitability growth targets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and develop a team of two Key Account Managers and one Account Manager
- Manage all matters related to Metro Procurement, serving as the primary point of contact
- Manage all matters related to Metro Quebec/Super C, serving as the primary point of contact
- Drive category growth through a fact-based selling and decision-making process
- Achieve sales objectives by developing and executing business plans aligned with corporate sales and marketing strategies
- Communicate the progress of monthly and annual initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing service issues across supply chain, finance, and store operations
- Provide strategic feedback and recommendations to optimize account performance
- Collaborate with Field Sales teams to align banner initiatives and ensure execution at the retail level
- Maximize account potential by leveraging marketing initiatives such as new product launches, category reviews, and promotional strategies
- Analyze and present market data to support category reviews and identify growth opportunities
- Manage and monitor customer trade spend to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
- Work closely with Demand Planning to ensure accurate forecasting
- Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Management to ensure trade spend delivers profitable return on investment
- Provide strategic direction and support to ensure the successful execution of business plans and budget objectives
**Qualifications**:
- Hold a post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline
- Have a minimum of five years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, with at least two years managing Metro accounts
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Category Management, strategic business planning, forecasting, and trade spend management
- Show a proven track record of success in account management with a focus on data-driven selling
- Possess experience in sourcing and analyzing market and account-level data for presentations
- Manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
- Exhibit excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and business intelligence tools
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
