As a leader, the Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for aligning community engagement services with the company mission, vision and strategic plan while still embracing the Eden Alternative Philosophy. The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as an ambassador for the company by developing, implementing, & evaluating community engagement services as they relate to policies, documents, programs and procedures. The Community Engagement Coordinator will model a healthy Community culture by encouraging all to actively participate in developing a community that supports independence and ongoing companionship.

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining community engagement strategies to meet resident and organizational objectives. The Community Engagement Coordinator will possess superior oral and written communications skills and will excel in a team-oriented environment. As the go to person for community engagement services, this employee care partner must be self-motivated, well organized, have an eye for detail, while still maintaining multiple projects. The Community Engagement Coordinator will display a commitment to excellent customer service and a passion for creativity while ensuring brand standards are maintained through quality and consistency in all aspects of service.

It Is important that the Community Engagement Coordinator understands the needs of the resident and is able to clearly communicate it as required. The Community Engagement Coordinator will also assist and lead as required the community marketing strategy and assist the customer with community initiatives, industry awareness, and develop referral relationships.

As a member of our Care Partner Team, **your role will Include**:

- Provides services in a manner that demonstrates the principles of appropriate choice, dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values;
- Provides leadership to the team to ensure they understand and are committed to achieving person directed services;
- Supports the Resident's lifestyle in their Community environment;
- Encourage and facilitate Resident advocacy;
- Conduct calls/visits with prospective customers and tours of the community;
- Provide prompt communications with all referral and prospective customers, ensuring appropriate community and company information is provided;
- Maintain required reporting and data entry;
- Using the available resources, the Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for guiding the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of community engagement services;
- Assist with identifying and address unmet needs and customer leisure barriers. Assist in design interventions to address the barriers;
- Facilitates and assists with the completion of the resident move in and move out process;
- Update and maintain Resident Handbook Information;
- Coordinate and layout monthly newsletter and calendars while engaging residents in the process.
- Help residents with technical issues (TV Hook Ups, printers, Smartphone & Tablet usage);
- Engagement and coordination of resident volunteers;
- Maintains current knowledge of key marketing data - pricing, strengths, and weaknesses;
- Assisting with daily life within the Community, as needed, in a variety of ways beyond community engagement specific practices, such as doing light housekeeping, removing trash, assisting Residents, and leading Learning Circles;
- Monitoring inventory and coordinating the ordering of applicable supplies;
- Attends service time as scheduled and as needed for special events;
- Process pertinent marketing information in a timely fashion;
- Keeping the residents' preferences and needs at the center of all your decisions, conversations, and actions;
- Being a team builder, coach, mentor, active listener, facilitator, and an important resource to the Community;
- Attends and participates at meetings as requested as part of the team;
- Leads and supports projects and quality improvement initiatives;
- Ensure cleanliness within the Community by keeping living and service areas clean, orderly and presentable at all times;
- Respond to concerns/ issues and conduct appropriate incident investigations as they relate to services within the Community;
- Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and report to the General Manager or Maintenance Supervisor as required;
- Demonstrates an awareness/knowledge of the importance of health and safety; accident and injury prevention; and adheres to safe work practices and procedures;
- Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times;
- Willingness to maintain self-wellness and reduced absenteeism within the team;
- Maintains confidentiality of the Community including but not limited to accountability of all care partners.
