**Position Overview**

The Manager, Enterprise Risk Management contributes to service excellence and an overall superior member experience by ensuring G&F Financial Group’s policies and procedures are strictly adhered to, by implementing audit and relevant operational procedures to mitigate risk and safeguard the assets of the credit union and its member. The incumbent is responsible for initiating and completing necessary investigations on risk-related issues as well as maintaining up-to-date risk management policies and procedures in accordance with associated legislation.

**Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for maintaining an active Enterprise Risk Framework that is progressive and innovative in nature, which encompasses an Operational Risk Framework (ORM) and a Regulatory Compliance Framework (RCM).
- Provides general oversight of the credit union membership monitoring trends to ensure the overall credit union’s Risk Appetite is maintained.
- Collaborates with management and other stakeholders to develop and deploy consistent risk practices; collaborates with appropriate individuals to ensure adequate documentation, communication, and training on risk related matters is delivered to employees.
- Conducts full-cycle investigations concerning internal or external breaches security breaches and losses; collaborates with Management and Human Resources on employee related issues and investigates confidential issues concerning inappropriate activities.
- Oversees policy development and maintenance, including but not limited to Incident Response Management, Disaster Recovery Planning, Business Continuity Planning, Membership Policies, Investment and Lending Policy, Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
- Works with various providers to ensure proper insurance is in place and supports the claims process.
- In collaboration and consultation with Property & Premises, ensures physical security and safety of premises is maintained; conducts periodic branch reviews to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
- Manages the internal audit for the organization; supports the planning process and ensures the audit universe is comprehensive, audits are timely, and the quality of audits is satisfactory in assessing the control environment.
- Provides proactive guidance and coaching to management and employees on risk and security related issues; partners with Human Resources and other departments on pertinent training programs and initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years’ related experience
- Post-secondary degree in business or a related discipline is an asset
- Solid understanding of Risk Management and Security relating to a complex financial institution
- Strong collaboration and proactivity
- Excellent communication skills and leadership orientation
- Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate
