Located in St. Catharines, Ontario, the company is looking for a **part-time** **Accounting Clerk** to join their finance team.

**DUTIES**:

- Responsible for collection of cash and deposit into the bank account on a frequent basis
- Responsible for releasing orders into production and for shipment when payment requirements are met
- Responsible for compiling list of outstanding balances on a monthly basis and providing to accounting supervisor for analysis and further action
- Tracking orders that have been sitting for a while in finance review and shipping release, following up with customers to ensure payment is received so orders can be shipped on time
- Assist in preparing month-end journal entries and supporting schedules as needed
- Other duties as directed

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping an asset
- Previous Work Experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping (minimum of 5 years)
- Experience working in A/R an asset along with previous Payroll experience
- Attention to detail, great organization, and excellent written and oral communication
- Intercompany experience, including US companies, an asset
- Strong work ethic
- Exemplify a high degree of professionalism
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a small team
- Strong inter-personal skills conducive to an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
